Vice President, Brand, Marketing, Sales & Consumer Services (BMSC) Planning

is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the BMSC strategic

planning process to ensure BMSC spend across all funding sources is optimally

deployed and aligned to the defined priorities of BMSC and Marriott

International. The BMSC discipline funds

approximately $2B of work a year (i.e., base work, initiatives, marketing

programs). Primary funding sources

include System Marketing Funds, Loyalty, Reservations, Restricted Marketing Allowances,

PSF, System and Program charges.

The VP,

BMSC Planning will also lead the BMSC Brand Planning process designed to

identify and prioritize critical brand investment requirements and secure

funding for the highest priority investments.


addition to leading the planning activities, this position also facilitates a

cross-discipline SVP level forum (XPLT) and a Global Officer forum (XCo) to provide

transparency and alignment across disciplines on strategy, solutions, plans,

progress of initiatives, and issues

The VP,

BMSC Planning functions as a strategic business leader and must be adept at

creating frameworks to identify key priorities, simplifying complex

information, streamlining processes, identifying profitable opportunities,

anticipating challenges, presenting to, partnering with, and guiding senior executives toward consensus to deliver

against the Company’s shared strategic objectives. The VP leads a team of

direct and indirect report.

Education and Experience Required

· 4-year

degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting,

Economics or related major

· 12 years

of relevant professional experience, demonstrating progressive career growth

and a pattern of exceptional performance

· Strong

business and financial acumen

Experience Preferred

· Prior

experience leading or partnering in the development and implementation of a

strategic planning and prioritization process, and leading virtual teams, in a

large, complex, matrixed organization

· Experience

working in organizations that utilize multiple funding mechanisms to resource
